For over 45 years, our family has stood for professional, top-quality leisure experiences in the Wilder Kaiser region. What began as a two-person business has now grown into a successful medium-sized company with more than 60 employees.

We do not only rent the best sports equipment and sell top-quality leisurewear—we also help you experience unforgettable moments in our magnificent natural surroundings. Whether summer or winter, with the professionals from Sporthaus Edinger by your side, you will discover previously unknown capabilities of your sports equipment and take your technical skills and ability to handle the forces of nature to a whole new level.

Our Story

"A sports shop with ski rental in a gondola lift? Nobody needs that!"

These were the words used in 1989 to assess Albert & Rosalinde’s prospects of success for an additional business location in the newly built Söll-Hochsöll gondola lift. However, the development of our industry not only proved them right but also ensured that, in the years that followed, winter sports services in ski resorts were almost entirely relocated to the mountain lifts. The principle is simple: customers should find the services where the sport takes place.

Over the years, our locations have been continuously developed and expanded, and our processes perfected, to save our customers unnecessary waiting times before an amazing day of sport. Together with our highly qualified employees, this has made us one of the most innovative sports retailers in the Alps.

Our biggest development milestone to date was achieved in the middle of the pandemic year 2020, when the new Hexen gondola lift in Söll went into operation. The Sporthaus premises at the valley station were expanded to 1,600 m², and unique shopping experiences such as Austria’s first snow room (by Technoalpin) and a replica of an Icelandic waterfall complete with a moss wall round off the overall offering. State-of-the-art high-tech equipment supports our professionals in advising customers.

Our sports shop in the town center covers a total area of 700 m² and focuses on high-quality sportswear, as well as a large bike and ski-touring department.
