Edinger Health - What is it?

Edinger Health

The health and fitness program for employees at Sporthaus Edinger

 What is Edinger Health?

  • Edinger Health represents our corporate philosophy, which states that our employees should not only earn their living here, but also make a tangible contribution to their general well-being—and thus to an improved quality of life—during working hours. It is an individually tailored fitness program that every employee can use at their own discretion before, during, and after working hours to strengthen or rebalance themselves physically and mentally. Edinger Health is closely connected to our sustainability program EDINGER GREEN and emerged from the same process.

Why does Edinger Health exist?

  • We spend a large part of our time at work. After a demanding workday, there is often little motivation to engage in balancing sports or outdoor activities after work. The result can be physical complaints such as back or joint pain, restricted mobility, or postural problems.
To prevent such “diseases of civilization,” we are putting together an individual, tailor-made program with Scheffau-based outdoor trainer Dani Haselsberger. The program takes our working environment into account and is intended to make daily physical work easier.

How does Edinger Health work?

  • We meet weekly early in the morning and perform various exercises at the base station (approximately 20 minutes per team) under Dani Haselsberger’s professional guidance. There will be something for everyone—whether you want to improve your back posture or are interested in building abdominal muscles. The motto is: Have fun! Everyone can participate, but no one has to. The concept is based on voluntary participation and team spirit, and at the end of the 20 minutes, everyone should start the workday feeling stronger.
  • In addition to the personal meetings, the concept includes generating an individually designed training plan for each person using the Frischluft app on their phone. Everyone can use this training plan on their own, for example at home, to achieve their stated training goal.

What is the goal of Edinger Health?

  • Our shared goal is to stay healthy! Everyday fitness does not have to be strenuous—regular repetition is often more effective than individual peak performances. We want to improve our well-being and take preventive action against diseases of civilization in everyday life. As Helmi once said: “Prevention is better than crying and curing.”
We want to do something good for ourselves and put together a health program suitable for every age group that enriches both working and private life.

To a shared athletic and healthy future at Sporthaus Edinger!
