40 years of bike rental in Söll

Sport Edinger has been in Söll for 40 years now—and we have been renting out bicycles for just as long. Initially, they were proper “boneshakers”: heavy, uncomfortable to handle and ergonomically, not properly equipped for use in the mountains, with too few gears—in short, getting started was anything but easy 😊

However, as tourism grew rapidly, it soon became clear to the industry that suitable bikes were needed for targeted use in mountainous regions—bikes that could be adjusted quickly and safely to suit each rider. Front suspension, up to 30 gears and the first disc-brake systems were just some of the milestones on the way to today’s high-tech bikes. The quality standard was always clear: Guests should be able to rent a bike in Söll that is at least as good in quality as their own private bike back home. We still uphold this principle today, and with our premium partners Scott & Centurion, we have exactly the development potential that has delighted guests and customers at Sporthaus Edinger for 40 years.
